Another disaster....another evacuation.....

Many of you know my family and I have lived along the Gulf Coast all our lives. When I began to research what was really going on in the Gulf and how much poison they were dumping into our water, I decided to take my wife and two year old daughter to a safer place. After careful consideration of many places throughout the country, we decided the Midwest would be as safe a spot as any. We settled on Omaha, Nebraska.

We had 11 great months in Omaha before we found ourselves once again in the danger zone of a reckless energy company. I received word that the Ft. Calhoun Nuclear Plant was in danger and once again, I packed up my family and left. I had no choice but to return to the Gulf until I can make a new plan.

I’m not writing this to whine and I won’t bore you with the details. I just want my daughter to be safe. I want her to be able to drink water and eat food WITHOUT being poisoned. I want you to understand these aren’t just news stories, they are people’s lives.

It is time to wake up. Burying your head in the sand will no longer protect you because it’s radioactive and there is oil just under the surface.
